The first official PlayStation smartphone will arrive in the United States next month.
The phone will launch on the Verizon network. The news was unveiled earlier today in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress.
SCEA, Gameloft, EA and Glu Mobile are four of the 20 publishing partners announced.
Over 50 games have been revealed for the Xperia Play including Dead Space, Guitar Hero, Battlefield and Assassin's Creed.
The device has a four-inch touchscreen and a control system that will be very familiar to PlayStation fans. This includes shoulder buttons, face buttons, a d-pad and dual analogs.
The smartphone's battery life will allow you to play your favorite titles for over five hours. Other features of the device include GPS support, LED flash on the 5.1 megapixel camera, 400MBs of memory and Wi-Fi hotspot functionality.
Details on pricing and wireless service provider support will be revealed in the near future.
