It Came From Sega: Power Stone
In the 18th Century, there was a treasure that brought treasure hunters and myth believers from all around the world to fight against each other.
That treasure was called Power Stone.
It allowed the carrier to let their wildest dreams come true. Power Stone released in Arcades and later for the Dreamcast in 1999.
Play as one of the 10 characters, each with their own intention for using the Power Stone. Who will win and gain its power? Whoever possesses the Power Stone is up to you, as you travel the world fighting other characters who want the Power Stone for there own intentions.
Each character has their own interesting back-story in the game. You get an intro and ending cut scene for each story of the character you choose.
The game is a three dimensional fighting game. It has an over the top view which makes the game really unique. Power Stone has a lot of items you can obtain that lay around randomly while in battle. You can use it to beat the opponent with a box or set them on fire with a flamethrower.
This fighter is tons of fun especially in multiplayer.
During the battles, if you collect 3 Power Stone Gems you basically turn into a super version of yourself. You’re almost unstoppable and you are able to do special moves in the game to destroy your opponent.
Power Stone ends when your life bar is depleted. Duh!
It is a really fun game and if you haven’t played it yet, it’s recommended that you do. If you have a PSP try it out. A Power Stone collection was released with Power Stone and its sequel. In the collection edition they added more characters, so you’re in luck if you happen to come across the game.
