Not all gems are created equal.
You can pre-order Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) at any major video game retailer, but the bonuses aren't all the same. Amazon and GameStop are offering different sets of bonus gems if you pre-order from them.
Amazon's bonus features the Iron Curtain Pack. This set includes nine gems which focus heavy on defensive abilities.

GameStop is offering the World Warrior Pack as a pre-order bonus for SFxT. This pack is pretty much the exact opposite of Amazon's gem set. The World Warrior Pack is primarily focused on increasing the attack power of your fighters.
The gem system in SFxT was announced at this year's New York Comic-Con along with the game's release date and special edition.
Many felt the gem system was too complicated and expected Capcom to either redo or remove the system. Instead, the company hinted that Pandora Mode may be cut and confirmed there will be over 100 gems eventually.
