You're doing it wrong.
That's how Capcom community manager, Seth Killian says he feels regarding Marvel vs. Capcom (MvC) tier lists. This includes character rankings for MvC2, MvC3, and UMvC3.
With tier lists being popular these days, what could be the problem with rankings for the MvC series? The series has always been about the right teams rather than characters.

"I've always felt character rankings in Marvel vs. Capcom games mostly miss the point.
Top Marvel vs. Capcom 2 teams often had low-tier characters as necessary parts, and everyone got blown up by a tricky low tier team at Final Round.
I agree that ranking EVERY team would be nuts, but ranking a few top ones would still say a LOT more than ranking characters in my opinion.
FGC ranked Marvel vs. Capcom 2 teams pretty effectively, and Capcom itself thinks a LOT about this question in the balancing process. I think the FGC can do it."
