Let's get this party started.
Capcom sent out a press release revealing the release date for the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Set and more details regarding the content. The limited edition set will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3 on Sept. 18.
Included in this set will be a slew of Street Fighter titles. The games featured are: Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix, Street Fighter III
3rd Strike Online Edition, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade
Edition with all costume DLC, and Street Fighter x Tekken
including all character and Swap Costume DLC.
But that's not all.
For the 25th Anniversary Set, Capcom is throwing in more than classic and current Street Fighter titles. They will also include a two-disc Blu-Ray set, which takes a look at the fighting series' influence on the fans and the fans' influence on the series.
This will also come with two animated movies and all episodes of the Street Fighter I and II animated series. A light-up Ryu statue, 11-disc soundtrack, 64-page hardcover artbook, Ryu's belt, and a certificate of authenticity will be included. The set will cost $149.99.
The company that brought you perhaps the most popular fighting game of all time has also unveiled tournament dates. These tournaments will celebrate Street Fighter games both past and present.
All the titles included in the 25th Anniversary Set will also be played in the tournaments. See a list of these special events and dates below:
