Slowly but surely.
The announcement of the July 31 date for Street Fighter x Tekken (SFxT) DLC characters came as a surprise. The characters weren't expected to be released for consoles until well after the PS Vita version of the game passed. That's now a thing of the past.
While a console date was nice, PC gamers wondered if they'd once again be left in the dust. While PC gamers will have to wait about five or six weeks more, they do have a date.
Capcom Vice President Christian Svensson took to Capcom-Unity to address the concerns of a DLC release date for the PC version of SFxT.
"To be more specific, I asked Derek about this here's what he sent me:
'They'll be in the second batch of DLC. The only thing that prevented them from being in the batch currently in submission was CJ waffling about the date until recently. So now, we're hoping to submit middle of next month, with release in early September.'
So probably something like 5-6 weeks seperating the too unfortunately."
Fernando's POV: Svensson has explained in the past why Capcom's PC games aren't on par with console versions as far as dates go, so this doesn't come as much of a surprise. While it would be nice to see PC games treated as a top priority, it doesn't look like we'll be seeing that happen from Capcom.
