Fans of the Super Smash Bros. series can finally breathe easy knowing that one of their biggest gripes has been addressed. Players will be able to use a Gamecube controller adapter.
Problem solved.
One of the biggest issues with fans of Super Smash Bros. was the lack of Gamecube adapters on the Wii U console. Playing the title on a Wii U gamepad seemed like a hassle, and a pro controller isn't as highly regarded as a Gamecube controller.
Nintendo took to their Twitter account to announce a Gamecube controller adapter. Super Smash Bros. Wii U is supported by the adapter. No word on a release date for the Wii U peripheral.
Below is the tweet.
